In Susan Reimer's article "Ravens, NFL get it wrong - again," the prestigous columnist argues that the Nation Football League's (NFL) decisionto permanently suspend Ray Rice after an unfortunate series of events regarding him assaulting his then fiancée - now wife, Janay Palmer. While other reporters, blogs, newscasters, and even the NFL itself argued against Rice, Susan Reimer said she actually felt bad for the former football player. She claimed that Rice was fired not to take a stand against domestice violence towards women or serving justice, but instead to make the NFL look good (page 1). SUsan Reimer organized her argument by first describing the situation, then the aftermath, then putting in her two-sense. Reimer does not use significant evidence to support her argument. While Susan Reimer does not use specific evidence to support her argument, her stylistic approach worked in her favor by creating an emotional connection with her audience. One area where her argument became weak was when she discussed the positive effects of the Ray Rice debacle, only using her reference to a possible "Rice Bucket Challenge" while she maintained a strong argument throughout her opinion piece, this caused Reimer to lose credibility with her readers (page 2).
